I- Le preterit : a) Rappelez comment conjuguer un verbe au preterit à la forme affirmative (régulier / irrégulier) Traduisez : J'ai acheté une nouvelle voiture. / Il a appelé son frère. b) Même question pour un verbe à la forme négative. Traduisez : Je n'ai pas acheté une nouvelle voiture. / Il n'a pas appelé son frère. c) Donnez le schéma (ordre des mots) pour poser une question au préterit. Traduisez : As-tu acheté une nouvelle voiture ? / A-t-il appelé son frère ? d) Exercise: write the sentences in the past. I love him / I meet her everyday / he doesn't speak English / What do you eat when you are sick ? / They teach maths / We agree with you / They don't travel very often / He runs well / I like singing / Do you want to buy it ? / They drink tea and eat donuts when they see each other / You play video games. / He chooses the best / She never cries / I don't feel good.

    Explications : (Regulier) est changer le singulier au pluriel mais on ajoute juste -er comme stronger ou mais (Inregullier) peut completement changer de mot comme good de better.

  • a / si le verbe est régulier on ajoute « ed » à la fin de celui ci sinon on met le verbe irrégulier.
    - I bought a new car.
    - He called his brother

    - He didn’t call his brother

    - Did you buy a new car ?
    - did he call his brother ?
